The Research Park at SDSU is located adjacent to South Dakota State University (SDSU) in Brookings, South Dakota. The Research Park launched their operation in 2008 and is the first of its kind to be constructed in the state of South Dakota. Located on 125 acres, the Research Park at SDSU will provide over one million square feet of first-class office, lab, conference and greenhouse space at full build-out. As the leading research park in South Dakota, it aims to foster collaboration and partnerships between South Dakota State University, business, industry, and government.
The Research Park at SDSU is divided into 32 leasable lots available to businesses for construction of their own facilities or for lease of building space from private developers. Currently there are three buildings on the property: the Brookings Innovation Center, the Lloyd Companies Building, and the Young Brothers Seed Technology Laboratory. The POET Bioproducts Center began construction in November 2021 and is expected to be completed in June 2023.
